Blacksmiths in the Middle Ages


There was three interesting facts about the blacksmiths in the middle ages. 1. Blacksmiths made arrmor, swords, door hinges, nails and plows. 2. In 1326 iron balls for cannons. 3. The first recorded manufacture guns was in Germany.

  5. I never knew that people back then had door hinges, or cannon balls. I can't imagine the burns and sweat and hard work involved in being a blacksimith. What I would like to know is how a connon ball was made. Did they have a mold? Did they hammer it into shape?
